About Emma
I decided I wanted to be a makeup artist in 2004. I have always been creative & had a passion for art. In my last year at school I was interested in painting the structure of the face using light & dark, little did I know this is a very strong skill used when applying makeup correctly.
“For me the art of makeup is in the skill of application not the products used”.
After helping family & friends with their makeup for special occasions I decided to take my passion seriously & obtain qualifications. In 2004 I studied a certificate at Lainie Scott School of Makeup.
I am lucky to have been involved with stage makeup for local theatre companies - The Dunedin Operatic Society, The University of Otago & The Really Authentic Gilbert & Sullivan Performance Trust, for who I was Head Makeup Artist for.
Over the busy wedding season I am booked up with makeovers. I travel to most areas in New Zealand & have very competitive rates. Call me for a quote & availability today!
In 2008 & 2009 I undertook 2 more diplomas through Ali McD’s Makeup School to learn more skills which opened up the opportunity to be a part of the makeup team for ID Fashion Show, Otago Polytech School of Design fashion show, a Japanese film based in Dunedin & freelance makeup artist for the DCC annual plan photo shoots.
I am excited to share my skills with others by offering tuition as one on one or in a group. |
